Sookie fans will enjoy themselves. Those new to the series willprobably be confused by the large number of characters and complicatedback stories and should start with the first book in the series, DeadUntil Dark. Fans of the TV series, True Blood, would also likely belost if they haven't been reading the books all along because the plotlines are fairly different. Fans of the books, however, will not bedisappointed. Bill, Eric, Sam, Quinn, Jason, Amelia, Tara, Pam, fairytwins Claude and Claudine and Sookie's telepathic nephew all put in anappearance. The book is story is a fairly violent one, and the sex isHOT. There is a wicked teaser at the end and foreshadowing that there'smore trouble ahead for Sookie and the men (both the furry and the dead)in her life. The focus of her love life at this point is still Eric,and she discovers to her dismay that her last exchange of blood withhim (in Rhodes) meant more than she realized at the time.

The series had been adapted to an HBO TV series, renamed as True Blook, with the Chinese name being 真爱如血.
